Sales Team Commission Structure

ChumBiz is designed to help local businesses increase their online visibility while giving motivated independent sales representatives the opportunity to build substantial commission income. Our compensation program rewards performance: the more you sell, the higher your commission rate can become.

ChumBiz Advertising Plans

ChumBiz currently offers three advertising packages:
 

Basic
$47 per month
$470 per year — includes 2 months free
 

Standard
$97 per month
$970 per year — includes 2 months free
 

Premium
$147 per month
$1,470 per year — includes 2 months free
 

Annual plans provide customers with two months free compared with paying monthly for twelve months and also provide sales representatives with the opportunity to earn a larger upfront commission.

Weekly Commission Rates

Your commission rate is based on your total Net Weekly Sales (NWS).

Net Weekly Sales = Collected Sales Revenue minus any discounts applied to the sale.

Commission levels:

30% Commission
Net Weekly Sales from $1 to $1,499
 

35% Commission
Net Weekly Sales from $1,500 to $2,999
 

40% Commission
Net Weekly Sales $3,000 or more.

The Higher Rate Applies to Your Entire Week

Commission rates are applied retroactively to all qualifying Net Weekly Sales for that week.

For example:

If your Net Weekly Sales total $900:

$900 × 30% = $270 commission
 

If additional sales bring your weekly total to $1,900:

$1,900 × 35% = $665 commission
 

If you continue selling and finish the week with $3,000 in Net Weekly Sales:

$3,000 × 40% = $1,200 commission

 

This means that closing one additional customer can potentially increase the commission percentage earned on your entire week's qualifying sales.

What Can One Annual Sale Pay?

At full advertised pricing, before any applicable discounts:

Basic Annual — $470
30% = $141
35% = $164.50
40% = $188
 

Standard Annual — $970
30% = $291
35% = $339.50
40% = $388
 

Premium Annual — $1,470
30% = $441
35% = $514.50
40% = $588
 

One Premium annual sale can therefore generate as much as $588 in commission, depending on your total Net Weekly Sales commission level.

There is no limit to the number of advertising packages you can sell.

Monthly Performance Bonus

Sales representatives who exceed $10,000 in Net Sales during a calendar month earn an additional:

5% Monthly Performance Bonus The bonus is calculated on qualifying Net Sales for that month and is paid after the monthly sales totals have been verified.

Example:

$12,000 Monthly Net Sales × 5%
= $600 additional performance bonus
 

This bonus is paid in addition to regular sales commissions.

Recurring Renewal Commissions

ChumBiz rewards representatives for building long-term customer relationships.
 

When a customer originally acquired by you continues or renews their ChumBiz advertising subscription, the account remains associated with you for purposes of qualifying renewal commissions, subject to the terms of the ChumBiz Independent Sales Representative Agreement.
 

This gives representatives the opportunity to build a growing portfolio of recurring customer accounts instead of relying exclusively on new sales.
 

The more satisfied customers you build, the greater your potential long-term commission income.
 

Specific eligibility, payment timing, account ownership and renewal commission terms are governed by the Independent Sales Representative Agreement.

Sales Reporting

Each closed sale must be reported through the ChumBiz sales reporting process.
 

Accurate reporting allows ChumBiz to:
 

Confirm customer payment
 

Attribute the sale to the correct representative
 

Calculate commissions accurately
 

Assist with completion of the customer's ChumBiz listing
 

Track future renewals
 

Provide customer support when necessary
 

Weekly Commission Payments

The ChumBiz sales week runs according to the reporting schedule provided to representatives.

Previous-week sales reports must be submitted for verification by Monday at 12:00 PM Central Time.
 

Approved commissions are scheduled for payment the following Friday.
 

Only successfully collected and verified customer payments qualify as Net Sales for commission purposes.
 

Refunds, chargebacks, cancellations or other payment reversals may be deducted from current or future commissions when applicable.

Flexible Independent Sales Opportunity

ChumBiz representatives control their own prospecting activities and working schedules.

There is:

No hourly schedule
No fixed number of working hours
No limit on sales
No limit on commission earnings
 

Compensation is based entirely on qualifying sales performance.
 

Sales representatives are responsible for developing their own prospects and building relationships with businesses in their market.
 

ChumBiz provides information about its advertising packages, sales materials and resources to help representatives understand and professionally present ChumBiz services.

Customer Discounts

Authorized promotional discounts may occasionally be used to help close qualified customers or encourage customers to choose annual advertising plans.
 

Because commissions are calculated using Net Sales after discounts, representatives should use discounts strategically.
 

For example:

$1,470 Premium Annual Plan

10% authorized discount = $147

Customer pays $1,323

Commission is calculated using the $1,323 Net Sale, not the original $1,470 price.
 

Representatives should always attempt to communicate the full value of ChumBiz before offering a discount.
 

Standard authorized promotional discounts and any limitations will be communicated to active representatives. Discounts beyond a representative's authorized level require ChumBiz approval.
